Global Citizenship is the umbrella term for social, political, enviromental an economic actions of globally minded individuals and communities on a wordwide scale. The term can refer to the belief that individuals are members of multiple,diverse, local and non-local networks rather than single actors affecting isolated societies.
Sustainable Development goals.

In context to Ireland:
The governmand of Ireland together with key stakeholders has developed a national implementation plan for the SDG’S for the years 2022-2024 based on input from two public consultation processes.
The plan sets out strategic objectives and 51 actions, with 119 individual measures to increase Ireland’s ambition and strenghten implementation structures to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For these reasons they have set up 5 strategic objectives:
- To embed the SDG framework into the work of Government Departmens to achieve greater Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development
- To integrate the SDG’s into local Authority work to better support the localisation of the SDGs
- Greater parnerships for the Goals
- To further incorporate the principle of Leave No One Behind into Ireland’s Agenda 2030 implementation and reporting mechanisms
- Strong reporting mechanisms
